Other than the start line setup, the Slot Dragon system works great. The Trackmate system isn't cheap, but because it has 2 lights on the start line, it allows much more fairer starts. When you cover the 1st light, you're staged. Cover the 2nd light before the tree goes green, you've redlighted. Start with a practice piece of track. 1. Measure one half inch back from a divider on the underside of the track. Hole placement should be in between the outside electric rail and the slot. 2. Place the tip of the knife where the holes are to be drilled and scratch a line in the plastic. 3. Place the tip of the drill bit at the end of the line. Road Course and Drag Strip See plenty of real car racers (both circle track and drag race guys) there, with their kids. Can't believe how much glue they put on those tires!!!! We used to have an old nylon parachute to slow the cars in the shutdown, now they just use the glue and stop in about 8 feet!!!.

The latter is probably better - especially in terms of powering each lane separately. The number of amps HO drag cars pull can be quite big - 10 amps per lane minimum - although nowhere near as much as the equivalent 1/24 cars. Top speeds for the quickest HO cars are over 40mph at the end of a 20 foot strip, running at 20 volts.

This is one that I have never understood, finding a racecar whether it is an old oval track car, drag car or dry lakes car and turning back into s street car and destroying all of the history. I view racing as the ultimate form of hot rodding, dry lakes, dry racing, and oval track roadster racing all started as street driven hot rods that.. Every May, two AW 1/4 mile strips are set up at the UK Slot Car Festival for the public to use. The drag strips are a big hit in the HO Zone. They run non-stop with one set of batteries from 9am to 4.30pm. The AW 4-gears run very well for that time too. We run Funny Cars on one strip and Top Fuels on the other.
